What do you need to create a mediaeval encampment? For A Knight's Tale we sourced more than 8,000 metres of cloth from the UK and India which we then dyed and printed with woodblock-effect patterns to make tents, flags, horse cloths and clothing.
A modern army fights in khaki, but what shade of khaki? We dyed over 2,000 army surplus garments in more than ten shades of khaki - from yellow khaki through green khaki to brown khaki - to achieve an authentic look and create the effect that Steven Spielberg wanted for Saving Private Ryan.
